Broccoli City Fest

My apologies for being MIA for the past week! I took an impromptu trip to Washington, DC this weekend to go to the Broccoli City Festival dubbed by Complex as the 'biggest urban Earth Day celebration ever'. The Los Angeles based organic lifestyle brand Broccoli City itself is all about promoting healthy lifestyles and sustainability to communities who may not otherwise have access to such information. The headliner was Big Krit, one of my favorite artists, so I couldn't miss it. I really didn't get many outfit pictures unfortunately. It was one of those days where theres so much going on and so many people that you spend most of your time socializing than taking actual pictures. Not that that's a bad thing, I like making memories not just capturing them. The event was held at the Navy yard, with cups filled with broccoli stalks as centerpieces for the tables covering the fairgrounds. Green twist? Between the music, vintage clothing vendors, group yoga lessons, and food carts I'd say it was a solid good time. I wore an Asos long sleeve crop top, body chain, American Apparel riding pants, and Dr. Martins

Custom t-shirts and artwork by Julian Starks. I definitely want to do a feature his Pill Collection project in the near future.
The crowd was definitely eclectic, which made made everything that much more interesting.
Beautiful pencil drawing of one of the events host's, Va$hti.

  5. i def agree with you. We spend too much time capturing memories more than making them. It is more lasting if you do think about it.
Beautiful people at this event too. Must have been fun and interesting to learn and know from each other about healthy lifestyle.

Have a good weekend ahead too.
